So, what have I learned about pre-teen and early teenage kids? Well, those suckers have many interests. Sometimes they just want to come home from school and watch Saved By The Bell and the A-Team. Sometimes they brag about the new cassette tapes they just purchased, artists like Michael Bolton, Meatloaf, and Savage Garden. Sometimes they go on a stroll with their new Walkman playing side-A before having to eject and flip to side-B. And sometimes kids of this age dress in styles they love such as Crop Tops, Grunge, Dr. Martens, or wearing their clothes totally backwards like the kids in Kris Kross.

Holy Schneikies…that was MY childhood! It turns out I don’t know anything about what the kids like these days. Well, that is except for one thing. There are a lot of kids that love the style and genre of shoes just like the ones shown here – these Kuromi Sanrio Sneakers. Go figure, kids think it’s cool. I thought cool was weighing 115 pounds and wearing XL Bugs Bunny Screen-print T-Shirts and beepers (aka Pagers) in your shoelaces. Kids these days…they just don’t know.
I want to call these size 5 canvas beauties brand new but if you look hard enough, and I mean look for it, maybe it looks like they were worn once.
So, get these for your kid then sit them down and show them how good growing up in the 80’s and 90’s were, watch the Weird Al Show reruns, Pee Wee’s Playhouse and show them why it was cool to have a crush on Topenga from Boy Meets World and repeat memorable catch phrases like “Did I do that?”
