Along with walnut, teak is one of my favorite woods of which furniture is built. Besides it’s gorgeous grain, teak’s natural oils and resin make it highly resistant to moisture, termites, and decay, leading to a long lifespan. That is why you can find old weathered teak outdoor furniture that has always been outside in the harsh elements and still bring it back to its original glory and lustre. Teak requires specialized techniques for cutting, drying, and finishing, and the process is labor-intensive, adding to it’s value.
This particular chair has not seen a day outside, other than being photographed for this listing. Because of its outstanding grain and modern design, it has sat in the corner of a room more as a piece of decor and statement. It is an absolutely excellent condition, but do to needing to downsize, it’s looking for a new home with somebody else who will truly appreciate this piece.
