Description
The design features intricate, star-like geometric blocks created from strips of vibrant, varied color palette fabric, including reds, blues, and yellow backgrounds.
Each large octagon is made of eight triangular wedge segments pieced together at the center. Every individual wedge is built by sewing narrow fabric strips (strings) directly onto a cotton foundation fabric backing. The bright yellow background points are separate triangles added between the octagons to square up the blocks and create a secondary geometric pattern.
This was quilted in 2004.
There is one small 1″ tear in the backing that could easily be sewn up. Everything else is absolutely pristine and the colors are vibrant, with strong stitching all throughout.
