Description
This device is an anti-theft security mechanism designed to protect your vehicle’s under-mounted spare tire from being stolen. It installs directly into the spare tire hoist mechanism (the crankdown system). Once installed, the hoist cannot be lowered using standard tools. You must use the uniquely patterned key included in the kit alongside your vehicle’s factory jack handle to lower or raise the tire. The lock features a rotating outer collar. If a thief tries to grip it with pliers or a wrench, the collar simply spins without loosening the lock.
