The top lifts straight up, place your jar in the center, lower the top, give a gentle push downward And the gripper will automatically adjust to the size of the jar at the base and the lid up top and do all the work for you. It is just that simple.
It is brand new and unused except to test it. The cord plug cap is still on the prongs, but I cut it just foe that purpose to make sure there is no issue with the appliance. It worked like an absolute dream.
