They are handcrafted by artists Jim and Tori Mullan using mixed media and found objects. The birds are depicted in a formal jacket and collar, standing on a black pedestal. Similar figurines from this collection have sold at auction for roughly $400 USD.
While many of the original folk-art sculptures by Jim and Tori Mullan are made from heavy antique wooden decoys, binoculars, and cast iron, these figurines are cast from a lightweight material to allow collectors to enjoy the intricate steampunk aesthetic without the heft or price tag of a heavy, solid-wood and metal original.
