Hand Blown Glass Ribbed Cobalt Blue Decanter w/ Stopper – Mid-Century – Vase

$32.00

Description

For your enjoyment, somebody back from early to mid last century took a piece of molten glass, attached it to the end of a long metal pipe through which they blew, spinning the glass slowly, manipulating its shape and form, and using tools by hand to add texture and depth. What you see here is more than just an impressively attractive glass vessel with stopper. It is a piece of art of which you can see where the glass was cut from the pipe and the bubbles of air all throughout, trapping in time, the breath of the artist who made it.

Though it is a decanter, with the stopper removed, it would also make a statement piece as a vase on your table, on top of a buffet, mixed with other items on a shelf, or any other place you would like it to be noticed and to draw the attention of the eyes who pass by.
