Description
This stunning double handle covered vegetable dish was made in Austria by Altrohla. It was most likely for export to the US in the late 1800’s through the early 20th century. With a beautiful green hand-painted floral pattern, the back stamped with the maker’s mark, and the gold accented handles formed in graceful curves, this immaculately preserved piece of useful table decor adds charm and history to your own dining and hosting experience. The dish measures an overall 11″. There is gentle rubbing to the gold on the handles but it has no chips or cracks, is clean inside and out, and is in overall excellent condition. The mark “C A” within the shield is associated with Charles Ahrenfeldt, the artist who designed this line of pieces.
